I followed the tips on ThriftyFun for corroded contacts, exhausted batteries, etc. After verifying with a voltage meter that the switch worked and the contacts all through the circuits to the motor were non corroded (battery compartment similar new), I was able to verify that when batteries were in the compartment and I pressed the switch, in that location was a 6v electric current at the engine contacts.
The motor was frozen. I sprayed information technology both inside and out with WD-40 and let it sit for a minute. Still didn't beginning. I pressed the switch button and held information technology down and started tapping the motor casing with a tack hammer very gently. On the third tap, it started up and has been running ever since without a problem.
To get to the motor, take out the fluid canteen, remove the ii chromed Phillips head screws holding the front end fascia plate on, then remove the single screw downward the swivel at the lesser. Lift up the plate to articulate the swivel swivel and pull down slightly and the fascia comes out. The motor and pump are now accessible. To reassemble, put the fascia back on and replace the screws. WD-40 in the motor should prevent future h2o based corrosion from seizing upward the motor shaft.

My Swifter WetJet refill will not lock in place. I hold the button and push button information technology down, but as shortly every bit I release the button it pops out and doesn't spray.
Do I need to replace it with a new one?

Information technology sounds similar the refill you accept purchased could exist bad and the locking mechanism on the mop is not locking this bottle in place. I would take it dorsum to the store and enquire for a new ane.

Question: Swiffer WetJet Not Spraying Well?

I refilled my WetJet and now when I employ it, it doesn't spray well. The solution merely shoots out weakly a few inches. Did I practise something wrong and is there whatsoever way to fix this?

Question: New Swiffer WetJet Not Spraying?
I recently purchased a Swiffer WetJet and when I went to use information technology, it is not spraying. I have the bottle of liquid in it that came with it. I must be doing something wrong. Please help.

Check sprayer hole, sounds like it has a film over or clogged nozzle, that keeps from spraying!

If this is the case blow into the hose for the machine and make sure the air is passing through. If you tin can feel the air passing through this means the hole is not chock-full. The trouble can be with the switch y'all are pushing or the pump is cleaved on the machine which won't permit the machine to pump the water and so it can't spray.
If the auto is brand new and not working after checking to make certain the nozzle is non chock-full I would suggest taking it back to the store. it can have a faulty pump on the car.

Is the paper-thin removed from the canister area? If then, effort to hold in the release push while inserting the canister. Then, release the button. That is what I had to do with mine.

Question: Swiffer Pump Not Working?

What type of driver tool does it take to remove the cover to the pump motor? My father and I accept replaced the batteries, cleaned the nozzles, and checked the batteries with a voltage meter. How can we get to the pump motor?

You will need the following tools:
- Kitchen pocketknife or utility pocketknife
- Needle nose pliers
- Regular pliers
- Small Phillips head screwdriver
Step 1
Wait on the mop handle and notice the spring-loaded push button that hold the handle together.
Footstep 2
Push on the push button with the tip of your screwdriver.
Footstep 3
Depress the button enough to twist the handle then that it stays down.
Pace 4
Now pull the handle off. Be careful to non pull likewise hard because there are wires in the handle.
Stride 5
To keep the wires in tack become to the handgrip and remove the screws.

These are nice to use but practice requires general "cleaning" (battery compartment/nozzle) occasionally but yous seem to be having more serious problems.
- Information technology does appear that all the tools necessary for whatever repairs would be: Kitchen knife or utility pocketknife - Needle nose pliers - Regular pliers - Small Phillips head screwdriver.
- There are several repair videos on YouTube only it seems many people complain they are not that clear on instructions.
- This is a familiar field of study/question on ThriftyFun so you might notice some suggestions to try before deciding to buy a new 1.

Same here, I put in new batteries and information technology wasn't working. I couldn't hear the motor or anything, it was simply completely dead. The bottle was in deeply, I popped it on and off several times. The batteries were in correctly and the door was snapped shut in the proper position, several times. I was about to chuck it in the trash but decided to wipe the battery terminal with a paper towel and there was a smudge of black goo.. I figured information technology was preventing good contact with the batteries. I got a fiddling chip of blistering soda and h2o on the paper towel, wiped the terminals down, made sure I dried it and the unabridged compartment very well, put the batteries dorsum in and just for adept mensurate, ran hot tap water over the nozzles since I had everything on the countertop anyways. Woohoo! It works similar new again!
