Thanks for the helpful communication. It is authentic and made things much easier. I accept an HP Laptop 15-db0011dx, which is very like. Alas, when I got information technology open up, I discovered i HUGE divergence: HP only soldered 1 RAM socket to the motherboard. Where the 2nd socket should be is an empty expanse with bare copper solder-pads, so I can't install a second memory module. I would solder a 2nd socket in in that location myself if I could, but half of the contacts are nether the sockets and inaccessible, and only a factory soldering machine tin can solder down the RAM sockets. So it isn't possible to upgrade it to having ii RAM modules. I bought 2 Samsung 8GB modules, and can only put i in the machine. I removed the i 4GB module that the laptop came with, and replaced it with an 8GB, and that works okay, but the other 8GB is unusable. So HP saved 25 cents by non installing a second socket, and cheated me out of 8 GB of expandability. That likewise prevents interleaving two banks of RAM to become a speed-up.
Or is this HP'southward style of blackmailing u.s.a. into paying much more to get a laptop that has both memory sockets?
The moral of the story is: Before you even think about buying an HP laptop, find out whether they actually put all of the parts in it.

Great video, very helpful equally I managed to lose my BIOS password and have to go digging behind the difficult drive for the clock battery. I need to supersede the keyboard because the space bar decided to fall off and I may as well merely upgrade the RAM at the same time. Give thanks you lot for your video. As soon as I got the dorsum cover off, I was able to insert the new RAM flake and put the cover dorsum on. Information technology was very easy for me to remove the back embrace except for the one screw that I somehow missed taking out. After I realized that in that location was one screw left and I took it out, the dorsum embrace came off pretty easy. As far as the rubber anxiety that yous have to peel back to go to the two screws, I was able to simply peel them dorsum about half way which was just plenty to remove the screws that are underneath.

How can i know whether i need to remove these pads? and how easy is it to put them on once more? give thanks you once again

Thanks very much. HP are indeed a pain in the ass. What is not clear from the video is that in that location are in fact 2 screws under the long horizontal black sticker that is on the dorsum. Otherwise very helpful. I used a plastic carte du jour to open the laptop in stead of screwdriver...I think it might be too risky otherwise. Finally, the hard drive on this otherwise, very good laptop is pure crap. It is tiresome across words...and I have seen other videos that open up it up to supervene upon the difficult drive.

I was able to pull it autonomously easily enough only using my fingernails. Unfortunately i of those thin wide screws broke off somehow when sliding the disc drive back in. Bad bad pattern, designed for you to break information technology if you try to open up it and void warranty. HP laptops blow.
